day 2, november 2024 - in the spirit of thanksgiving

solemnity...

saint christopher... november 1, all saints' day

1. my grandmother, margaret seidelman, united methodist church minister, who welcomed Jesus into my heart and changed my life forever when I was a very young girl!

2. saint christopher... patron saint of travel... the holy card in my glove compartment that's been my companion for so many years... makes me happy... gives me protection and sense of love... peace ... p.s. thank you, grandma mary for gifting me this joy...

3. saint michael - courage, protection, and divine intervention

4. saint cajetan, please hear my prayer...

5. receiving a "little baby Jesus" from a parishioner when i needed it the most... sharing "a little Jesus" with a beloved friend... placing it on my dashboard so i can look at it and send up a prayer every time i need a little Jesus in my heart, mind and life!!!

6. giving a gift to a special someone just because...

7. planting tulips in the anticipation of seeing them break the ground surface and beautifully rise from the under the blanket of winter in the springtime...

8. a sparkling clean car... inside and out... newly serviced and ready for winter... repaired parts... and new keys... 

9. my privileged right to vote... for the president of the united states

Prayer: All saints in Heaven, I thank you for the holy witness you each have given to the Church and rejoice in the blessings you now enjoy in Heaven. Please pray for me and for all people, that every one of us will become holy, bearing witness to Christ with our lives, and one day enter Heaven. May God pour forth an abundance of grace upon the world through the example you set and the prayers you now pray before His throne. All saints of God, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You.
